API 6A Expanding Gate Valve

The expanding slab gate valve is a high-pressure wellhead shut-off valve designed to meet API 6A standards and NACE MR0175 requirements for sour service conditions. It utilizes an expanding gate structure to achieve a reliable seal through the mechanical expansion of the gate against the seats; this design minimizes friction on sealing surfaces and reduces operating torque during opening and closing, effectively mitigating wear under high-pressure conditions. Compared to standard slab gate valves, the expanding structure maintains stable bi-directional sealing performance amidst pressure fluctuations and temperature variations, thereby effectively reducing the risk of fluid leakage. Featuring a reinforced pressure-bearing structure and a multi-seal design, the valve withstands high pressures, sour environments, and harsh wellhead conditions. It is suitable for applications such as Christmas trees, wellhead assemblies, fracturing operations, and high-pressure oil and gas wells, providing reliable fluid shut-off and pressure control at the wellsite.
